Here's the link at their website. It's still a beta version. http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en-US/tools/security_tools/rubotted

It's FREE! It checks as to whether or not your computer is a zombie.

I ran RUBotted - immediate results : No bots found - then uninstalled it.
Fresh installed system partitions don't have bots.

I think he was asking about the program, not your setup (read the post again).
Not a very helpful answer IMHO.

According to the other thread here @W it can only report bots, not delete/disinfect. If you're satisfied with that I'd suggest you'd give it a try, after all it's free so you got nothing to lose.

I got the download OK from Trend Micro, but the installation failed on my Dell Dimension 2350 Win XP SP3 ( yes 3!;D ) yesterday, despite SP3 working very well for over a week. Error message:
" Cannot install RUBotted, installation process will be terminated ( -2146500093 )."
My Security, Privacy and all other settings are at default, and have not prevented any other programs being installed after download. Is this a new problem specific to RUBotted and SP3? Has anyone else encountered this problem?:(

RUBotted is a BETA software. So any malfunction is possible.
Normally, you have to wait until the final version is published.
Unless you are qualified beta-tester, this software is not for you at this moment.

This installed at second attempt after failing with errors mid install then wouldn't uninstall ( stopped mid uninstall with errors) until I reinstalled it over itself...Keep clear of this for the moment.

I installed and everything seemed fine but later when I rebooted, my internet connection was lost.
And after uninstall RUBotted I got the firewall of ESET Smart Security corrupted and I had to reinstall ESS.
I don't know want kind of system changes happened but they have to be important.

Yes this is what you can expect, when you install BETA softwares and cleaning up the mess is usually a nightmare and waste of time, unless you took precautions.
