IE6.0 Internet Options LOCKED ?

After installing Spyware Blaster and Spyware Guard, i can no longer check Tools, Options for Internet Explorer. I get a message that says: This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions on this computer. contact system admin. I have admin privledges. Any idea if its either of these 2 programs causing the blocking??

That sounds more like Spybot S&D. Do u have it installed on your comp?

If u do, go to your immunize option and make sure you don't have LOCK IE CONTROL PANEL checked at the bottom.

I cannot find an immunize option in my version of S&D. All I can do is run immunize??. My Internet options are locked.

Make sure you have the newest version of Spybot installed (v1.2). When the program opens there's a button on the left that says Immunize. Click it and scroll down the page on the right. At the very bottom there's a section called "Recommended Miscellaneous Protections". The very last option which EXACTLY reads "Lock IE control panel against opening from within IE (current user)" should be unchecked to fix your dilemma.
