Since installing Disc Director to a Vista Home Premium system a few days ago I keep getting a message at boot up that oss_reinstall has been blocked. It appears to be because of permissions. I have been into the bowels of the ntfs permissions and have ticked every box imaginable, and even told it to run as administrator. I have at least stopped the message, but the icon still sits there in the notification area stating that it's still blocked. Please give me a fix for this. Your web site states it's compatible with Vista, so this should not be happening.
Grateful in advance.

If you are not using OS Selector then you can remove this startup process from the registry. It is in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Just delete the key and you won't be bothered by the message at boot time.

Hi Mark, Many thanks.

It is quite possible that I will sometime in the future wish to install XP to one of my partitions, in which case I understand that I will need this utility to be running.

If I choose to run it (from the tray) it starts straight away. I'll keep my eye on the Acronis site for any updates, and thanks again for your help.
