My XP CD is an XP SP1 disc. I retire in about a month and have my two year old XP Pro SP2 disc available. My new notebook has a D drive. Would it be worth installing XP on the notebook before I retire? Vista doesn't really bother me and I've slowly but surely configured Firefox exactly the same as on this desktop. Security wise I'm satisfactorily set up also. Would booting in either system be complicated? Thank You!

I may be wrong but if you asking to have partions with both vista and XP. I believe XP partions the system differently then vista there for I think XP needs to be installed first not sure though

djohn is right, it certainly helps if XP is installed first. But someone figured out a way (http://law.marquette.edu/blog/?p=104) to do it with Vista installed first. I do not know why this person used GParted when Vista has a native partition resizer already included.
