View Full Version : Restore from LTO2 Drive

Hello together:

Systemconfiguration:
Vista Business 64bit , Adaptec 29160LP, HP Ultrium 448 LTO2, TI Workstation 9.1 Build 3887

Backup runs fast and fine to Tape. 240GB in about 2h.

When try to Restore from Rescue CD:
I can select the Disk or Partition after the first read from tape.
In everycase I try now the Restore either with resize or without resize Partition, I can Select the Target Disk after hitting next it is running until death have waited about 1h without some progress. The Backup Archive was password protected while Imaging in Windows.

The tape drive, controller and cartridges are new.


Please Acronis Support give me an response!!
Tried 2 other requests over Acronis Support Form and got after waiting for 2 weeks no response.

1h ago I`ve made another test:
Dumping in Windows to Tapedrive without compression and with no password protection. When I try to restore an partition from the Image to another esata HDD I got following attached Error Messages.
The Tape Drive passes HP LTT Installation Check and the cartridges are first used. When the third picture is shown it cycles with the first and second Pciture regarding which Cartridge is loaded.

I`ve reached the sales representative at Munich for my installation.
She has get me contact to an german support member.

After reinstalling Tape Drivers and TI its working now.
But the restore from tape using Linux Boot CD is still painful slow.
Thats maybe an Task for the programmers for the next release.
