Ventrilo not working today

I just got home from school and for some reason ESS is blocking Ventrilo. All of the servers I'm trying to connect to are currently being blocked for some reason when it has been working fine for the last few months. I have ESS set to automatic mode and I would like to keep it that way. I know that it is ESS because if I disable the ESS firewall Ventrilo is able to connect fine.

Has ESS had an update today that is blocking things for weird reasons?

I have the same problem, My Ventrilo would just sit on "MSG: Contacting server." and I ran every repair program thinking it was a registry problem and as a last result I just disabled the firewall and it connected in.

If there is a fix for this please do explain.

EDIT: I found a way to fix it, Double click on the tray icon ESET and go to "Setup" then "Person firewall" and then click on advanced and then allow.

Could you please confirm or deny that Ventrilo works fine after a computer restart?

same problem here. When personal firewall is set to automatic ventrilo is blocked. in log files says that communication is denied by rule (rule/worm name 80000130).

In the past few days, we've all had firewall module 1037 pushed on us. I'm guessing there is a bug in module 1037. If anyone from eset is monitoring - is it possible to get module firewall 1036 back, at least to test my theory?

Hey, could you elaborate on that please :(
It makes sense up to "Person Firewall" - I assume you meant "Personal" but then I get lost. There is a lot of different options prior to allow I guess o.O???
