Incremental Backups

I have just purchased True Image 11 after having version 9 for a couple of years. I now have a large usb hard drive and I want to do a back up every night. I have a question about the incremental backups. Let's say my first back up is 84 gigs. Then during the day I work on my computer and add about 2 gigs of data. That night when it makes its first incremental backup, will it just do a backup of 2 gigs for the new data or will the new backup be one image of 86 gigs? If it does the latter what happens to the first 84 gig backup? Does it just sit there taking space? Thanks.

It will be a backup of all the changes only.
Will it be 2GB? Probably, it will be larger. There are a lot of changes going on in the background that you, the user, didn't make directly.
