It was 5 weeks ago you said you had moved other people over to finish the Vista version and we would see a very quick result. Even in your own forum, testers are not getting answers. So with all due respect, what the heck is up.

Trjam: Do you change Antivirus as often as you change socks?

Since it appears that you have changed to CA. :) I just noticed the avatar with another antivirus logo which seems to change very often.

This thread is about F-Prot timing, not an individuals avatar.

jeff, sounds like your jumping in the bandwagon to diss fprot this
week, because of the mention of fprot and their vista version from
the previous thread.

no, I am actually waiting to buy a license based on Vista certification. See, assumptions can be wrong.

trjam

Personally, I think the GUI is the only hold up right now.

But we are talking Frisk time here, which if you remember the time it took to upgrade from version 3 to FPAV 6, can be a VERY long time.

Now I noticed how cheap F-Prot are. "Secure 5 PCs for $29". Impressive. :)

That's for English ver but may be not for the Icelandic ver.
May be it's only a translation delay ... How can know ....

trjam

well for one, it is not even mentioned in their forum, beta or regular. IC was here a lot today and no peep. I think though with SP1 out, they are very, very, very close.;)

Good price for a quality program.

That licence is for the corporate edition, which seems to be almost identical to home. Anyone tested the corporate version with Vista with any issues? Thoughts on the corporate version vs home?

Did a search and it seems 6.0.9.0 is in the final phases of testing which will close the beta-phase for Vista.

Vista version is almost a year in the final phase...
All they say all that time "We are hardly working on it".

Corporate and home edition are identical. Plus: Corporate edition is available in both Internet Update and LAN Update versions.

Very good product. But.... only if it had a better GUI and some others settings .....

Thanks tec505. :thumb:

I'm also looking forward to the final Vista version. The product is extremely light and hopefully it continues to stay that way.

And the F-prot Vista beta has several things that still don't work such as "Quarantine" still a ways from a final release it looks like.:-[

Wishful thinking.

well it was Frisk who sent me the message and said that they had found the one small hold up. So I take the man for his word. If you wish not to, you are entitled to.

I probably know a little bit more about Frisk behind the scenes and therefore as already stated I would be very surprised if they have a gold release ready in that time-frame.

;D
It's simple: I have no On-Access antivirus software on my Vista until I can finally have a version of F-Prot that runs properly.
If I catch a dirt (virus, ...) in the meantime, they will hear me! ;)
