Programs reported in Windows Security Center

Not sure if this the place to ask....

I've recently tried various security programs and uninstalled them deciding to go with ESET Smart Security.

However, security center is still reporting (under malware programs) that AVG is still installed, but off and that Antivir is still installed and runing.

Any reason for that??

Very easily removed. Yes its normal. Go to run and type "services.msc". Find and stop the WMI service( Windows Management Instrumentation). Then go to C\Windows\System32\wbem and delete the repository folder. Then reboot.
