Nice to see the flowers and the bees.
We didn't have a white Christmas in the Netherlands for years, but now in 2008 we will have a white Easter :o

I remember a couple of white Easters, growing up in Colorado, Gerard..

If yer Easter Egg hunting...wear gloves for the snowball fight!
Or use the eggs! :o ;D

Cheerful here with that cute lil bee-
Look suspiciously like a pixel pup/bee-hmm-wonder 'who' did that?! :shifty: :D

Easter  Isn't that when small children eat several tons of chocolate, and in several years later apply to be on the Biggest Loser TV Program :P

I also think that the flowers and bee and butterfly gives a lovely spring-like feel to Wilders.

Nicely done :)

I performed my first grass cutting of the season today. Nothing like the smell of fresh cut grass mixed with wild onions :)

All I need to know I learned from the Easter Bunny!

Don't put all your eggs in one basket.

Everyone needs a friend who is all ears.

There's no such thing as too much candy.

All work and no play can make you a basket case.

A cute tail attracts a lot of attention.

Everyone is entitled to a bad hare day.

Let happy thoughts multiply like rabbits.

Some body parts should be floppy.

Keep your paws off of other people's jelly beans.

Good things come in small, sugar coated packages.

To show your true colors, you have to come out of the shell.

The best things in life are still sweet and gooey.

(I know to some of us, it's doesn't seem like Spring at all-Yet! :D)

Still have a

Happy Easter and a Giddy, Glorious Spring!!! 8)

Mother Nature can't seem to read the calendar, at least not here in southern Ont. Canada. We're not supposed to get daytime highs even up to freezing for at least another week, which is as far as the forecasts run. :P

I can relate. Spring certainly has not sprung in these parts. We can always blame it on La Niña. ::) ;D

We are enjoying a very nice autumn (my favourite season) startup. 25 to 30 degress (Celsius) during the day and 10 to 15 degrees at night.
Happy Easter :)

That's going to be a while here. We've still got 2-3 feet of snow that's more like packed ice. Snowbanks still over 6 feet tall. Was -10ºF (-23ºC) last night. No real warmup in the forecast.

It is snowing here in Serbia as well. It really came out of the blue as it was quite pleasant these last few days (up to 20ºC), the weather just started to get better and better. Then this, and sadly it is 1ºC right now. I think I caught a cold too...

Hey you on the southern hemisphere, don't hold back the summer (spring) for us. Wear some sweaters and jackets, it's our turn now :D

LOL, take a look at the weather (http://www.smn.gov.ar/?mod=dpd&id=21&e=87467). Very hot (although not so hot as in summer)

Although I live in a "temperate" zone (32°35′ S and far away from the sea), the cold season is fairly short here. We had snow the past year (first snow in more than four decades) and temperatures below the freezing point are only seen 5 or 10 days in the year.

The problem with spring is that it doesn't last all year!!!

:gack: :P ;D

To me when that smell is in the air spring is officially here.

We got our first snowfall since '92 on Jan. 19th this year. It was a surprise since forecast only mentioned mixed sleet and rain. Of course I got out and took pics of this rare event.

CGirl I agree but not too long from now the "sauna" season starts here. It gets so hot and humid, especially in July/August, that I mainly stay inside and suck up a/c, lol. I wished it stayed like this all year.

Gerard,
Interesting report. On the Monday after Easter it did SNOW here in NW Georgia (USA). Personally, I thought this was a bit odd, but, I am still getting used to my new surroundings! Warmest regards for a very happy 2008. :thumb:

MS stands for Mississippi, right? If so, you live in a subtropical area and that's the expected weather ;D

You are correct, I am not too far from the Gulf of Mexico (was without power for 8 days after Hurricane Katrina--I will never take that for granted again). I think though that in the past decade the tropical line has moved northward. Either global warming is true or I can't take the heat in my older age, lol.

My father complains almost constanly about the heat when, statistically, our area has become a little cooler in the past years ;D ;D *puppy*

nice to hear about snow in Holland, Serbia, France - i had thought that snow was frequent throughout Europe in the winter(all that WWII footage from 1944-5)....where i grew up in northern California(a few hundred miles north of Sacramento) it used to snow every other year or so, then for about 15 years snow was a very rare occurance....hopefully global cooling is on the way

Yep, a very nice (although a little hot) autumn.
