Hello ... just wondering if I can add a password to an image I already created, or can
I only designate a password when initially creating an image? If I can add a password, how does one do so?
Thanks much!

Not exactly an answer, but this post makes it sound as if you will not be able to do it.
"Please note that if a password has been set for a backup archive and is now lost or forgotten, then there is no way to retrieve or disable it. You cannot restore such a backup archive or extract files from it without the correct password.
Thank you.

If you can't retrieve or disable a password, you probably can't add one.

Thanks for the response. To clarify ... no, I have not forgotten a password for an image. I
simply made an image and recalled that I did not see a screen to enter a password
for the image. I would now like to add a password to the image if at all possible.
Thanks much.

If you need to protect a backup badly enough you can not add a password later, but a very good work around would be to copy it to a True Crypt volume.

You could also restore your current unprotected back up to a spare harddisk and then make a new password protected backup from that.

If your hard drive crashes, you might be feeling considerable stress. Will you be able to remember the password at that time? If not, you have securely screwed yourself. :)
