Hello All.

I have 2 FDR snapshots. One is just a basic XP with firewall and AV installed. I use this as a recovery snapshot.
The second snapshot is a full installation of XP with all my software and enhancements. Quite a lot of software installed here.
Problem is that when browsing with either IE or Opera, the full snapshot is a nightmare to browse with in that it is incredibly slow, with many "Error. Unable to..." messages or even just "Network Errors"
The "bare snapshot is fine, and works as it should.
Curious thing is that downloads are absolutely fine with both snapshots.

I have scanned for viruses and malware without result. I usually browse in Sandboxie with Shadow Defender enabled too.

I am not knowledgeable enough to even begin to know where to look for this problem.
Would appreciate your thoughts on this.

Many Thanks for any help.

Hi,

IMO, you may have conflict issues between FDR (FD-ISR ?) and Shadow Defender.

I used FD-ISR years(two) ago, and never had a luck putting DeepFreeze with it. Shadow Defender has similar functions as DF.

When I use SD alone w/o FD-ISR, I encounter BSOD each time I commit a program from shadowed mode.

I believe there are a lengthy discussion re: Shadow Defender and FD-ISR here . A search may reveal the threads.

Good luck.

Hello Perman.

Thankyou for the input. I will look into that now, although I have never had a BSOD since having them both installed.
Worth investigating though.
