Hi
well right now i have nod32 2.7 last built installed , and i guess is the more fast realtime and on demand scanner.

but i want to change it and install another av , and i want a fast real time scanner

i think about kaspersky kav

which is the more fast i mean like real time scanner? kav 7 , kav 6

i remember the old version of kaspersky and they have a slow engine

thanks have a nice day

I would have to agree, though I can't understand why you wanna do a shift. NOD32 is one of the lightest and fastest AV's on the block. I'm pretty sure you'll feel a slowdown, if you choose KAV. I did and several friends of mine, using KAV or KIS, did as well.
Well try out both Avira and KAV and choose for yourself. That's the only way to find out, which AV is the best for your rig.

Cheers

Try KAV 7, choose custom install and select the FileScanner module only. Then see how it goes on your machine ;)

-1st choice: Avira.
--------------------
-2nd choice: Dr.Web.
--------------------
-About KAV:
>I am still worried about the ObjectID in the Hard Disks.
>Scanning sessions are among the slowest ones.

Folks,

This is turning into one of the "which is best" threads devoid of any analytic input. As such, it is closed.

Mantra,

The best course of action is to perform a forum search, identify a couple of likely options based on the existing information, and try them on your machine. Owing to the variability of system performance spec's out there, some options that are fine for one person will drag another system down.
