Well its like this , I decided to remove SSM and it won't let me remove [mchooknt.dll]. I was able to remove everything else. How can I do this? I would appreciate the help.

Do you mean from the folder you installed it to? If so, then maybe it isn't being unloaded from a process properly? Have you tried reinstalling then uninstalling?

The SSM folder was in My Documents. I couldn't delete the folder because of mchooknt.dll . So I opened the folder and deleted everything else. But it won't let me delete the mchooknt.dll.

Ok, then it is probably in use. I would first try reinstalling and then uninstalling it again via SSM, and if that doesn't work then follow the manual removal instructions - see screenshot for both.

Jade.

I actually just had a similar problem to yours mate: SSM would start and its process would show up in the taskmanager, but there was no icon in my systray ??? - therefore I was unable to use its own uninstaller.
I tried to delete the contents of its folder but guess what......mchooknt.dll could not be deleted :(. So being the resourceful lad that I am ;D, I ran DiamondCS's Advanced Process Manipulation and found that the .dll was loaded into another process......I then tried to unload it with APM, but to no avail >:(.
So I then tried Dellater from DCS and guess what?....
it blooooooooody worked!!! :) ;) ;D 8).
You can get APM here (http://www.diamondcs.com.au/index.php?page=apm) and DelLater here (http://www.diamondcs.com.au/index.php?page=dellater) mate.....good luck!

Jade.

I tried to use Delater once before and couldn"t get it to work. It is downloaded into My Documents . In fact so is SSM folder.

Hmmm, if you had SSM and DelLater each in their own folder within My Documents,....then you would run DelLater as such (of course with your username):
Click START
Click RUN
Type cmd then click OK
In the console window type:
C:\Documents and Settings\Bowserman Jade\My Documents\DelLater\dellater.exe C:\Documents and Settings\Bowserman Jade\My Documents\SSM\mchooknt.dll
Note the space after dellater.exe.
Then reboot and it should be gone.
Hope that is a good enough explanation :).

Jade.

That was an example :)....If you like, can you tell me the exact location (PATH) of dellater.exe and mchooknt.dll? To do so:
Right click on dellater.exe and select PROPERTIES - then under the general tab, write down the LOCATION
then
Right click on the mchooknt.dll and select PROPERTIES - then under the general tab, write down the LOCATION.
Post back the locations for both ;).
Regards,
Jade.
