I have a serious problem with my hard-drive and truecrypt.
I have Windows Vista (full system drive encrypted) and truecrypt 5.1.
No problem but today i had a crash !
I have blue screen for all windows boot menu : safe mode, last good...
because of sectors corrupted.

I can't do a chkdsk /f because i don't have a command prompt.
So i try to decrypt my drive (with F8 truecrypt menu).
But at 50% truecrypt stopped because of sectors corruption !!

I plugged this hard drive on usb to another PC with windows and truecrypt.
When i try to moun with pre-boot authentification, i had a message :
"Error : the process of encryption of the partition/drive has not been completed. It must be completed first".

But i can't to completed because of sectors corruption.
All my life is in this drive and my backup was format for a linux distribution yesterday (damned !).

The solution will by to do a chkdsk /f just after the authentification at the boot, but all windows menu boot crash...

Please help me. All my life is in this hard drive ! Please !:'(

Welcome Jfchadeyron!

This discussion (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=317788) make's it appear possible. Systemrescue (http://www.sysresccd.org/Main_Page) or rip (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Recovery_Is_Possible) may be the distro's to boot.
Should you remain as unsure as myself, I'd suggest posting on the truecrypt forum.
