Hi all,
In my understanding in older versions of TI (8 and 9?) the MBR of a system disk was only included when you created an image of the whole disk. MBR was not included if you created an image of a partition only, e.g. the C: partition.
Right?
Having a look now in the manual of TI version 11.8053 they say:
“A partition image includes all files and folders. This includes all attributes (including hidden
and system files), boot record, and FAT (file allocation table); as well as files in the root
directory and the zero track of the hard disk with master boot record (MBR).”
“A disk image includes images of all disk partitions as well as the zero track with master boot
record (MBR).”
Having a disk with 2 partitions:
C: with the Operating System
D: with data
Does this mean that the zero track of the hard disk with master boot record (MBR) would be included also if I only make an image of partition D: ?
Thanks for clarification
