I have a strange need for editing software.
I shot some movie files with my standard digital camera. Without thinking about it on some of them I held the camera vertical, so.. now the movie files need to be rotated. Anyone know of an editing package that can do that. Paid or not doesn't matter.

VirtualDub (http://www.virtualdub.org/) can do that.

Hi Rilla
I am talking about Video though. Don't believe Windows Picture and Fax View does Video, or am I wrong.
Hii WSFuser
I'll take look at VirtualDub.
THanks,
Pete

Hi Pete
I use Serif MoviePlus and find it straightforward to use. Lot of features for the price.

No, you're right. I was thinking digital pictures. That Virtual Dub will do it. It looks like a nice little program.

TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress http://tmpgenc.pegasys-inc.com/en/product/te4xp.html
will do what you want, and just about everything else. Great program for video editing and with it's sister program TMPGEnc DVD Author there isn't much you can't do.

don't forget avidemux http://www.razorbyte.com.au/avidemux/2.4/Milestone/2.4.1_(3791)/avidemux_2.4.1_win32.zip
have integrated near all filters from virtualdub, plus it don't need external encoders/codec since it based on ffmpeg
it's a very comprensive application (even if it's a green application) able to open avi/mp4/mkv/mpeg2... and can encode, out of the box, to dvd,xvid,h264 ...

And the winner is.......TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress. Naturally it is one of the more expensive, but it does exactly what I need.
I am going from a digitial camera which takes MOV files. I want to input them, do some simple brightness, constrast editing, and in some cases rotate the image and output a wmv file. TMPGGenc was the only one that does it as a one shot, no converter program.
Appreciate all the input. Tested all the suggested ones plus some, but wouldn't have found this one with out the input of Strangequark. Wilders sure is great.
Thanks all.
Pete

Glad it did what you wanted Pete. I've used it for ages and can't think of too many times it hasn't done what I wanted it to do.
