Hi folks,

i have a strange problem restoring a acronis image!
made a trueimage from my boot drive (40GB IDE Harddisk) and now i have a problem to restore it!
when starting acronis boot CD i can choose "wiederherstellen" (restore) and after this i see some drive letters in a small box where acronis searches all harddisks. after this search is finished there is no drive choosable because there are NO drives shown in the list.
i use german Version 11.0 (Build*8.064)

when i boot my pc with an old acronis 9.0 in "abgesicherter Modus" (like safe mode") i can see all my drives and can also select a image for restore. but the old version of acronis trueimage 9.0 CANT READ images made with version 11.

my boot disk is connected to IDE Channel, all other drives are connected to SATA directly on mainboard (Asus Commando)

so please give me an hint how i can restore one of my images!?
it is very hard problem because i made ALL usable images of this pc with acronis 11 and i have to reinstall the machine as SOON as possible ;-(

If the Safe Mode version of TI 9 can see your hard drives, then the Safe Mode version of TI 11 should be able to.

The Safe Mode version of 11 can be downloaded from your Acronis Account. Once installed, create a new TI 11 boot CD with Media Builder and include the Safe Mode. Note that you need the regular TI 11 progam installed on your computer before you can create a CD that includes the Safe Mode version. If your computer is down, you may need to temporarily install TI on another computer, install the Safe Mode addon and create the new TI CD.

For the Full Mode version, have you tried the quiet acpi=off noapic option detailed in Section II of the PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU POST (http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=55317) thread?

Another option would be to create a BartPE (http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=162424) or VistaPE (http://www.mechrest.com/plugins/BartPEGuide/VistaPEGuide.htm) TI CD. If any drivers need to be included to support your computer, they could be added.

Also, you may want to submit a support request to Acronis requesting a build that will work with your computer.
