Hi,

Continuing the last week saga - gOS, now openGEU, in two weeks Wolvix.

openGEU is another fine distro; Ubuntu-based, simple and easy, running the lean and beautiful Enlightenment desktop. It has everything one might need, plus more.

Do take a look:

Comments and suggestions are welcome!

Cheers,
Mrk

P.S. I'm close to bleeding my bandwidth off, so I'm working on getting some more juice, but remember I wrote this in case dedoimedo.com gets off the air, which I hope will never happen ...

Hello,
Indeed. I just hope they answer quickly, otherwise I'll have to move to my bro's account - he's got some 2TB monthly ...

Hello,
Have they come up with a way to put different wallpaper on each cube side with icons for Ubuntu 7.10 yet? All the present solutions that I know of eventually lead to dead ends.

Do you think that they will have it in the coming Ubuntu revision?

I will look into it again-

But in the past the required libraries for the patched Nautilus and Eel packages could never be found.

@MrK; yes nice desktop and as you say: quick
Easy installer
I do like the graphics
The screen resolution would not adjust in vm 'till tools installed.

FOr anyone interested in trying a vm: right click the system bar at the "top" of the screen for other placement options

One issue for me with the default is the Thunar: unless I've mixed some configs; the "properties" option does not give the full path ?
Any other recommends re file manager?

For the perrennial noof: this makes cut and paste into Terminals a pain

What happened top your VMWare tools install pages?
Cant see them.

Ok
That'll do
I had thought there were some other pages in the other installation tutorials
Tell me you've changed the pages :doubt: and I'm not having more frequent senior moments.
Regards
Looking forward to what you think of Wolven's distro.

I like xfce and so gave Sam a run: couldn't get some FF extensions set-up but probably some tweak somewhere dont know about.

regards.

Hello,
I don't think I've made any major change ... could be a senior moment.
I've made small cosmetic changes, but nothing too drastic...
