It's true. TC can be used on flash drives without administrator privileges. I have been looking for something like this so I thought I'd share. Using a program called TC Explorer (here) (http://internap.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/tcexplorer/TCExplorerv1.6.zip) you can open and save to TC files without using TrueCrypt directly. Yes, it first writes everything to a temp directory (which can be configured) before it encrypts but then eveything is securey deleted. You can use eraserl.exe to do this if you want. Also, TC Explorer prompts you when files have been updated and allows you to updated the file. This is so awesome!!!
Oops, I forgot to mention that this does not work with TC 5.0 files yes. So you will need to use version 4.3a.
