In the last week I purchased Disk Director Suite 10 and True Image 11 Home on my reloaded Acer M5620 Vista Home Premium machine and burned a standalone bootable copy of each. After much adding software I did cleanup, defragging, and then my first image backup of my C: partition with standalone TI 11. After that completed, I rebooted with the Disk Director CD and it comes up with "harddisk drives not found" E000101F4.
I'm having a hard time understanding why TI11 can see the disks, but DDS10 cannot. Anything I should try? I see the link to the 2004 era message to do a "quiet acpi=off noapic" , but I'm not clear when I push the F11.
I did end up resizing my C: partition "online", but now I get a "MMLoadDrv.exe has stopped working" every time I boot.
After wrestling with a broken XP box and trying to move to a Vista box for a few days, the Acronis DD issue doesn't seem like a big deal. Using PCMover to go from XP Pro to Vista Home Premium was the real disaster!
