I bought TI10 in a local store. From the Dutch manual I gather that the installation cd is also my boot up recovery disk (By booting from this disk I can install backups). Is this true or do I have to make a recovery disk manually?

No,you don't have to create a bootable cd-rom. Your installation cd-rom is the rescue disk to be able to restore your image (full back-up's) before windows is started.

However if there is a build of Ti 10 which is dated later than the retail version it may well be a benefit to register and update to the latest build. Then the preparation of a new rescue CD would take this update into account.
In any event it is a good idea to have more than one rescue CD available for times of trouble. After all CDs can fail from time to time.

It is also worth bearing in mind that a number of backup images on a single medium are not much use if that medium fails.

Xpilot...I am not paranoid just very carefull!

I registered a while back and it showed that there were no updates for my TI10 version (Dutch), so I guess I have the latest release.

Your suggestion of creating an additional rescue cd isn't a bad one though. ;)
