Something has disabled my ability to use Yahoo's web-based instant messenger. I can't use the stand alone version of the IM because of the PC police, so I relied on the web-based version. Can Spyware Blaster do this? What about Ad-aware, which I also installed. Thanks.

Hi jhe888,
Not that I know. That is why I moved it over here.
To test if SpywareBlaster is stopping it, do this quick test.
Open SpywareBlaster, click Deselect all > Remove Protection against unchecked items.
Then try again.
Don't forget to put protection back when you are satisfied it is not SpywareBlaster.
As to AdAware, did you remove anything in a scan that was followed by your problems?
If so did you quarantaine (backup) before removing those items?
And if you have the Pro or Plus version, is AdWAtch logging something?
Regards,
Pieter

You are right, it is not Spyware Blaster.
I'll go check on Ad-Aware again. I did un-quarantine things detected, and the problem still persisted, though. I only have the free version.
