All,I have a backup of my entire internal drive "C".It is stored on my external 500GB hard drive "F".When I preformed the backup,I did not use a password.Yet,when I do a search of my "F" using WindowXP(my operating system),and I search for "PST" files,I get a widow asking for my password.I did not use a password.Acronis tech support says the password can not be retrieved.I did not use a password.I have recently deleted a backup and did a new one.I did not use a password. Please help.Thank you.Linda

A PST file relates to Outlook. Could it be that the password prompt is for a password associated with XP, Office or Outlook?
Edit:
I tried what you did by doing a search on a USB drive for *.pst. I did not get a prompt for a password but I did get a DrWatson error which corrupted TrueImage 10, 4942. Something that you might try would be to Mount the image and try doing a search in that new directory that is created. Your search would probably have to be set to include hidden directories/files.

Hi Bruce Mahnke,I mounted the image and redid the search on the mounted image. My Windows search did not ask for the password. You solved a problem no one else could solve.Great work! Thanks.Perhaps the problem could have been associated with Office or Outlook. But,I do'nt know how to check for that,Sincerely,Linda

Very happy to hear that you were successful. Sometimes these things are hard to explain and in a sense may not be worth the time required to understand the issue once success is achieved. I will be very careful in the future not to ‘search’ drives containing [.tib] images.
Best regards,
Bruce
