Why NOD32 not using latest database?

According to control centre, NOD32 is udated properly to version 2854(20081206).

But, during manual scan, "Version of virus signature database used" is indicated as 2831(20080129).

Why would that be ?

if i remember fine, that "Version of virus signature database used" displays the version of signature database used in the last scan. after doing/finishing a new manual scan it will show the new database number (used during the scan).
