I just understood that I have no chance.
My NOD32 licence expired two days ago.

The licence upgrade is available from none of the proposed online resellers - in France... Neither is the initial licence. Would I have been able to renew my licence from any international reseller ? I missed that point... since I didn't notice that I would lose the opportunity to upgrade my licence after its expiration.

Is there anything else to do except from buying another initial license ? And is the licencing scheme restricted to geographic areas ?

You sure have the option to renew your license for the renewal price, even if your license expired two days ago.

I don't see it: I removed the beta and installed the final version this evening -frustration scream-, and it says my user name and/or my password is incorrect, on the database update screen.

Edit : Replaced "upgraded to" by "removed the beta and installed"

You stated, that your license expired two days ago, so then the game is over!

However, the only message I remind is something like "Your licence has expired", whatever followed... :-[

You should have thirty days to renew at a reduced price unless something has changed.

Well, like I said......Game Over, but just renew and pay the renewal price instead of the full. When renewing, you have to supply your expired user/pass and before you know, you're up and properly protected again.

OK,
It took me a while to find where, from my browser history, I toke this "truth": http://www.sprintvision.com/eset-smart-security.htm
It says:
"Any owner of NOD32 V2.7 current valid licence will be able to upgrade to ESET Smart Security" et caetera.

I have to browse the FAQ. ::)

Apart from that, is there any restriction dealing with licence localization ?
