ESET has released the French and Dutch version of ESET NOD32 Antivirus as well as ESET Smart Security 3.0.630. Besides localization, it also contains some additional fixes.

The French commercial version installers are currently downloadable from our distributors' download page http://www.eset-nod32.fr. The Dutch version is downloadable from http://www.nod32.nl

The other localized versions will follow shortly.

All I can find on the Dutch site is: version 3.0.551

As I have a subscription to the English version, I would like to replace that one with the new Dutch one.
How do I go about that, as the NOD Nederland web site does not have this available for download, instead it refers one to a reseller. Since I do not live in Holland this option is not available to me.

Looking at the list of modules in the French version, the only change seems to be a newer version of the firewall module (module pare-feu personnel) 1034.
In my English version 3.0.621 it is 1033.

I wonder what has been fixed?

Well, yes: but then you're not having a trial version.
Maybe (but I don't know for sure!) you can request a trial key for 2.7, that will work at 3.0.
My key (payed untill 2009) did work, so I was able to download and install.

I would say you give it a try.

Since this is the very first official German version, there is no changelog yet. The evaluation versions for other language versions released so far, including the most current English version, will be available shortly after they pass QA tests.

I am currently using the Smart Security V3.0.621.0 in english. Actually I would like to use the German version since I am German. How can I switch from the English to the German version? Of course I have to download the German software, but how do I install it? Do I use the same directory for the installation? Shall I overwrite all existing english files? Are all settings being kept when I change to the German version, or do I have to change them after the installation?

sorry for so much questions, I'd be glad if someone could assist me with this.

The safest way would be to uninstall Eset using the Eset uninstaller and then
remove the Eset folder from Program Files as well as Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data (Windows XP). Once this is done, install the German version.

Hi there,

it's me again ;).

Today I finally tried to install the German version of ESS, but unfortunately all my network connections (don't know the exakt term in English, in German it's called network connections) were interrupted and deleted during the installation. Before the start and during the installation process, the connection was still fine, but at one certain point near completion of the installation, the network icon in the tray showed a yellow exclamation point, and I couldn't get any connection to the internet. I tried some steps to repair this, but unfortunately I failed. So I used the system restore to get back to the point before the installation of the German ESS and tried it again - and again the network connection was interrupted and deleted ??? After another restore I came to the decision to keep the Englisch ESS version, and to stop any further trials :-\

Nevertheless, thanks for your advice..... Any idea what went wrong?

Only commercial, trial is still downloaded in english, when you hit the download button a script tells you that it is in english

Downloaded the Dutch language version, and it installed perfectly without having to first uninstall the English one, so that it kept my current settings.

I guess it'll never be released in danish...well maybe just before version 4 is coming out :) On the site it says it will be out in some weeks...i'll by that for a dollar....it been claiming that since the first release of version 3. It doesen't matter that much to me, i prefer it in english, but maybe Mr. and Mrs. Nielsen would like to get it in their native language?....Just a little hiccup from my point of view :)

You'd lose your dollar as the Danish version is going to be tested shortly. As for version 4, we're quite far away from it I'd say. There are still things to be improved in v3.
