Unistalling MCAFEE enterprise 8.5i

Hi Dear friends, My company install mcafee enterprise 8.5 under network but since I hate this antivirus I try to uninstalling it but I could not as it is installed under network. what should I do?

Can't you ask your company administrator to do so?
When they allow you to use another antivirus (wich I doubt), they will propably help you removing the old one.

You can use this (https://knowledge.mcafee.com/article/688/612722_f.SAL_Public.html) method, but since this is a last option I would advise you first to ask your administrator.

I aksed them to do it, but using MCAFEE is compulsory in our company :'(

Well, in the end it's your call but I would advise you to keep McAfee installed on your system.
Your company probably has a good reason to use that software.

If it is a work computer then they probably have policies relating to computer usage. I think you can assume that they want the AV software to stay on the computer.

The reason? Don't ask, and don't tell.

To accomplish the uninstallation, I would

(1) with IT man's permission(don't ask me how ), d/l McAfee's installation folder, and run it. It will pop up a window with three options such as modify, remove or repair. Click Remove, and then bingo.---the safest way to do it.

(2) since you regard your PC has no more residual value to your work or yourself, then you could take measures into your own hands, risking some degree of risks; use Windows' add/remove feature--in control panel, it may succeed.

(3) install a third party uninstaller, and let it do it for you.

A kind reminder for you thou, embarking these steps may cause unpleasant consequences.

My problem is MCafee is under network and so there is no any add/remove option to delete it. just when your PC boot, it appears :'(

Just keep it there because after all, it is not your computer, it belongs to your company. :(

Why not just hand in your resignation, then you don't have to worry about uninstalling the software?

Either way, both options will lead to you looking for a new job. I'm always one to take the easier route. ;D

It's been set up this way so you CANNOT carry out a simple uninstall.

Why consider uninstalling since it is not company policy to do so? You are just going to go round in circles here.

WE cannot help you, only your companies system admin can and they will not be very open to your request. Unless you take up Hangetsu's suggestion, you are stuck with this AV.

Further the Enterprise version is a very good AV.

If it is their computer and their antivirus and you work for them what makes you think you have the right to remove their av off of their computer??

You could always disable the splash screen at startup:

If you are concerned about the memory use maybe you could ask them for some more memory.

If you go into the console via right clicking on the tray icon, can you exclude all the folders on the computer or shut down certain parts of the protection?

for heavens sake, this is going nowhere. maybe you could tell us why you hate it and you can't remove it so just live with it or post your reasons and people will try to help! you ain't gonna get help if you just say you hate m:D c:D a:D f:D e:D e:D and want to uninstall it but administeraters won't let ya. ::)
