Hi,

I am exploring different backup solutions. I did read Acronis True Image features and some forums. I have one question and can't find clear answer.

What are the options to browse all changes between two backup images? As I understan, one option is to mount two images as X: and Y: . Then I could compare all folders/files. This will work very slow.

I was searching for feature or tool which can use incremental backup images and give me information about changed files. But I did not find anything.

I understand that incremental backup image can be used only together with full backup image; and incremental backup image store changed sectors, not changed files. Anyway - each sector belong to some file. So, is there feature or tool which can do this?

And last question: if I have 1) full backup, and 2) incremental back. Then can I mount them (read-only) together as two different drives X: and Y: ? If possible, then I could compare folders/files and find all differences.

Thank you.

Hello moni4m,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/).

Please be aware that there is no specialized tool in Acronis True Image to display changes between archives. You can mount (or explore) several archives (including full and incremental/differential) at the same time and compare their contents.

If you have any further questions concerning Acronis software, please feel free to submit a request for technical support (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/support/) or post any of them on this forum. We will certainly try to help you in resolving any issues.

Thank you.
