AVG suddenly requiring daily reboot?

About a week ago my AVG free started requiring a reboot after every daily update. A friend called me and said his has started doing the same thing. Has anyone else experienced this too?

Sometimes after an update AVG would "lose" its update settings.Just set it back...
Open AVG Control Centre->(Double Click)Update Manager->This will bring up the
Properties >set to 'Update immediately' & 'Require confirmation from
user'

OK thanks. I've done that, seems ok so far today.
