avast and ssm

after the latest update from avast,upon system boot up will have avast running and then and after a few mins it will be marked red stripe and nothing running.only thing that was added since was ssm free and they seemed to get along fine.
any ideas or similar issues?

I've used both products together before with no ill effects.

In any case, it's hard to figure what the problem is without knowing what rules you've configured for SSM.

I don't use avast but you can always see if the services that avast need to run are still running. Go to start,run,type services.msc and see if the service(s) that have avast in the name are still running if not left click on it and press on start (run).
