Release notes are located here (http://dnl-us4.kaspersky-labs.com/products/english/homeuser/kis7.0/release_notes_kis7.0mp1_en.html) if anyone wants a read

I personally haven't noticed any changes in weight and speed and its been as light and has the same speed as the other releases of v6 and v7 IMO.

As far as I know, there will be no changes relating to iswift/ichecker until v8.

Would this be an upgrade to my 7.0.0.125 version, or is this the latest Beta release. Also, should I d/l it and install either way? Thanks.

It was reported on the Kaspersky forums that users in the USA/Canada won't see the updates until KL USA update their website.

Links to the new files are working fine from Australia. I've installed .321 and it's working just fine :thumb:

Cheers.

Is it a bit buggy?I just ran Tuneup Utilities 2007 and got a BSOD!I did a restart and I've haven't ran Tuneup since. It ran fine with the 125 version.I completely removed the older version before installing the latest one.:(

There is a known bug with folder refreshing for some users with this version. A newer version of the klif.sys driver appears to fix this issue and I'm pretty sure this will be available via updates soon.

After installing KAV 7.0.1.321, firewall starts prompting <SYSTEM> is accessing local Port 19780.

Anyone is experiencing it?

I have since reverted back to KAV 7.0.0.125. :(

I reverted back to 125, too. 321 feels sluggish and a bit buggy.

This final MP1 is the same version that has been released on beta servers on 20.12.2007 as 7.0.1.321 release (with klif.sys 6.12.10.375 for XP).
I manually updated the klif.sys to 6.12.10.377 because of reported explorer problems from german beta testers (but didn't have any for myself with klif.sys 6.12.10.375).
Therefore 7.0.1.321 release with klif.sys 6.12.10.377 is running on my system for about two weeks now without any noticable problem.

Cheers

Yes, kilf.sys v.377 is probably going to be published with a hotfix soon to Kaspersky products via the updater. Its for Windows XP systems which are experiencing a slowdown/freeze when opening folders.

Dont know if Vista also has the problems. Some XP's certainly do though.
Of course, many people think they have a problem when there isn't... just because others have been reporting one.
There was a medical term for this... forgot what it was.

Are you referring to psychosomatic symptoms?

FWIW, I'm using KIS .321 and have experienced no lags whatsoever when opening folders on my XP Pro system. In fact, my PC has no lags at all, just like it did with .125 installed.

Cheers.

Is it less trouble to wait for V.377 than to install .321, and then go to .377?
If it is published via the updater I would assume .321 need not be uninstalled.

Any thoughts on this?
I hate to experience problems with .321 since .125 is running so well. Hopefully the problems with .321 will be corrected with .377.

Thanks,
Jerry

It's possible you won't even notice the problems some are reporting. If, however, you experience difficulties which cause you to want to get the latest klif.sys driver, you can, but remember to turn off 'Update application modules' in Settings otherwise the previous klif.sys version will overwrite the newer one next time you update.

Just removed AOL AVS and installled 321. Dell Inspiron 9300 Pent M 1.7 running Ultimate. No issues at all. Cisco VPN to home office etc. work just fine.
No complaints.:thumb:

Sorry, think we've got muddled-up... the Kaspersky version will still be 7.0.1.321.
The .377 I was talking about is a driver version... not a version of the whole software. It should be included in the next Hotfix which will come via the updater. You shouldn't need to reinstall or manually upgrade Kaspersky.

I'm personally keeping Kaspersky v7.0.0.125 on my computer and my friends/family's and don't intend to change it in the near future. Just my personal opinion... Its running great here and has served me well :)

Hi dawgg,

Thanks for the clarification. I thought .377 was going to be as major as .321 whatever that means.
I think I will also stay with .125 for awhile.
