How would you rate Kaspersky antivirus for spyware detection? If Superantispyware & Counterspy were an 8 or 9 out 10, where would you rate Kaspersky? I'm not asking this to start a "this is better than that" thread, I simply want to know how effectively I can clean a spyware infected pc using Kaspersky.
My second question relates to trojans & spyware. Does most spyware enter your pc through some sort of trojan & then install an .exe and/or .dll files? The reason I ask is since Kaspersky is so excellent at detecting & removing trojans, it seems it would also be excellent at removing spyware. I rarely see viruses anymore on infected pc's I clean, mostly just trojans & spyware.
Lastly, is there some sort of stand alone Kaspersky on demand scanner that removes spyware? I use Escan, but it only removes viruses & trojans. It will detect spyware, but not remove it. Can you tweak Escan to remove spyware?
