I had downloaded DD suite to my computer, which is running Vista U. I had thought I downloaded the update so it would be compatible with Vista and when I right clicked to run as admin. clicked on OK, the damned thing crashed, this happened several times. I have now removed it from my computer.

Was the installation file (the download) crashing or the installed program?

It may help to run the installation program in Administrator Mode and also make sure to Install for All Users.

I have DD (build 2,160) on my Vista Ultimate (32bit) computer and haven't had any problems with it.

Yes, it was the installed version, and installed for all users. When I opened DD I right clicked on it and went with open with administrator, as soon as it would try and open BLAAAM... my system would crash and restart again. I do know that when I went to the acronis sight and tried to download the update is when it first started. The update was to make DD Vista compatable.
