Hi All,

I've just installed AntiVir Premium using the free 6 months license. The mail guard is activated but doesn't seem to be scanning anything. I use gmail with outlook and when I download mail, it is not shown in the mail guard tab. What do you guys think is the problem? Is it because gmail uses encrypted connections for pop3 and smtp? Does anyone else have this problem?

Thanks,
Jeremy

{QUOTE-> From Radu[/URL] Hello,

The MailGuard component of AntiVir PersonalEdition Premium intercepts only incoming POP3 (non SSL/TLS) traffic, on port 110. Note that port 110 is the default port for non encrypted POP3 traffic. Therefore it doesn’t intercept encrypted traffic and/or traffic sent on other ports, like for instance Emails received on a Gmail POP3S account.

Best regards,
