They just released a new version so i'm sure you have to wait some weeks or most likely months for a new release. If some serious bugs is found we might see a new release sooner. I don't think anyone can say for sure exactly when the next version will be released. When all the bugs is sorted out i don't think they will release updates that frequently any more.

Why is this important?

Months is too strong word in this case . Noone can say with 100% guarantee when new version will be released , but the whole ESET team works hard to improve the v3 version and kick off the bugs . I guess we'll see new release every 45-60 days till most of the present issues are fixed

I hope your wrong because some people can't access e-mail through outlook that IMHO is pretty serious. Part of having the internet is e-mail if it doesn't work right it needs to get a priority fix. Me I have some minor issues such as BSOD & I can't scan a zip file nothing major. Maybe a few such as yourself run it fine but others of us have issues that should be getting attention and sooner than months from now...I didn't pay for a beta version...& no I bought a suite I don't want to run 2.7...

@larryb52

I must bold that I only guess and even though I may know a bit more than you as I am reseller , I can't still guarantee a date. Something else I must also bold is that they are working every day to iron out the issues so you'll get it working . There is no point in writing over and over again that you have problems (even my relatives understood that you have problems) , there is point in direct contact with ESET Tech dept. representative to provide them with enough info to sort out your problem

Regarding the zip file, what is the exact problem? Could you send the file along with a description of the problem to support[at]eset.com?

As for BSOD, would you be able to create a complete memory dump and upload it to an ftp server?

no it crashes before it get's to 100% so no I haven't had luck there. I took it off the other night after I did a scan and all the zip or compressed files were skipped in the scan details saying insufficent memory or temp dir issues. I had cleared the directory before the scan & I have 1.5 gig of mem. I truthfully don't mind the occasional BSOD while issues are being worked out what bothers me the most is the feeling that since it can't scan the compressed files my system could be compromised. I'm sure if was your machine you'd feel no different. I'd be glad to test anything you have just PM me but issues such as these & e-mail issues should be resolved in a faster way, sorry in advance for my shortness I'm just a bit aggravated by it all...

I agree with you about the email issues. But i have managed to tweak it slightly so that my outgoing mail account details are kept. But yeah it needs a lot more work. 621 is a big improvement though. Just hope Eset realize people do use O.E and Windows Live Mail !!! And why not eh ;)
All in all , its getting there.

I'd like my compressed files scanned & not waste 90 minutes on a scan only to discover the compressed ones were skipped. I wonder if everyone is just assuming it's doing a 'complete' scan. Next time look at the details to see if it's skipping compressed or zipped files...

You mention there are people who can't access their e-mail via Outlook. I have not been able to get video e-mails such as a U-Tube video someone might send me. Outlook hangs at about 50% and won't load the video e-mail followed by an error message. I'm getting most of my text e-mails OK, except for some with an attachment. I don't know if I should blame NOD v3.621 or not. I tried turning NOD off but that didn't help. I went to another snapshot in my FD-ISR, using NOD v3.621 and so far I'm not having the problem. I'm waiting for someone to send a video so I can check.

If you can confirm that this happens on accessing a file and not while downloading it from web, I would say it's a bug. Otherwise it must be your browser that is continually trying to download the same file several times as it is blocked by the web access protection module.
