I have hundreds and hundreds of .idx files in My Documents >:(. Does anyone know how the hell to get rid of them and/or where they came from?

If there is anything you can do to help me out I would be forever grateful!! ;D

Thanks!

Hi Susie,

Did you have a special reason for posting that question in this forum?
In other words do you suspect those files are related to any Javacool programs?

I found lots of possibilities here: http://filext.com/alphalist.php?extstart=%5EI***

Hi Pieter,

Actually I have asked this question in many forums and never received an answer, thought I would try here as well. All of a sudden, out of the blue, I had hundreds of .idx files that showed up in My Documents. I see several other people have had the same thing happen, however, there are never any responses to the question. Any idea how they got there or how to remove them?

Thanks!

Send it to the address in my profile. I'll have alook and see what I can find out.

This thread will be moved to the Software & Services forum.
