Hi all,
I installed EAV 3.0.621 on my Vista computer. Since then, I have problems with internet connection. Randomly, I just cannot access the web. Strange thing is that I can ping any server. Vista shows that I have Local and Internet access. Vista's "diagnose and repair" function reports that Vista was able to ping remote server but did not receive any response. The only solution is to restart PC. So I have uninstalled EAV and installed NOD32 2.7 and everything is alright now... Anyone else?

Did you make IE or Firefox a web browser selection in the web browser tab in NOD32? No problems for me. All I did was install it. Did you completely uninstall the previous version and delete all reg entries?

Uninstall any NOD32 v2 version , then the below instructions
Repair Winsock
Windows Vista
1. Goto Start and perform search for the Command prompt
2. Right click the Command prompt and run it as Administrator
3. Type netsh winsock reset
4. Press ENTER .
5. Restart immediately !
N.B. ! There is a space between the commands , example netshSPACEwinsockSPACEreset
Finally install EA v3 and try again

I had this problem even with 3.0.566 version. Yes, I completely uninstalled and installed new version. I tried excluding Internet Explorer from scanning but it didn't help. With 2.7 version everything is OK.. So there must be something with 3.0 version..

I tried resetting winsock yesterday and installed again NOD32 3.0. I thought the problem had been resolved but it happened again. I have no idea why it is happening with this new NOD32.. I have to switch back to 2.7 version. It is a pitty that nobody from ESET tried to help us with this problem.

I emailed them with this issue and they suggested me not to use this version and downgrade to 2.7.

Maybe temporarily the only solution available...
