Problem with WinXP Auto Update KB934238

Hi all

After installing .NETFramework 3 (not over 2) I got the following message from Auto Update:

This update contains improvements to the printing components on your system and to the Microsoft XPS Document Writer. After you install this item, you may have to restart your computer. Once you have installed this item, it cannot be removed.

The problem is, when I choose to download it it doesn't seem to download (nor install) and the auto update notice disappears until next reboot.

Anyone know how to resolve this issue?

P.S. I don't want to manually download it from MS link because I think I need to install the horrid WGA.

Well you arent the only one having trouble installing it. Searching Microsoft's Discussion Groups (http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?guid=1080912A-26C5-7040-AFDD-2224A4FEB3EA), theres several threads concerning KB934238.

From brief reading, it doesnt seem necessary for English versions of Windows.
