Hi There.
I am a newbie using this software and am still in the trial period.
I am very happy with it so far, but this problem is bugging me.

Every time I boot up or Reboot the computer a scan is carried out as shown under the Protection Status - Antivirus and Antispyware - General Overview - Number of scanned objects path.

Whilst I accept that a scan is required by software of this type, my question is :

How can I stop this scan. I know my computer is clean and sometimes I wish to test something without any background activities. I would like to be able to stop the scan when I like, not to have to wait until it is completed.

The annoying thing about it is : Once the scan is complete, you reboot the machine and it does the same scan all over again. Why can't I stop it, or why can't the software know it has just scanned those objects and therefore it doesn't need to rescan the same objects again.

Any info appreciated.

Hello Spikenaylor,

In the scheduling portion of the program, which would be under the Tools section, is where you edit an existing task or schedule tasks.

Thanks, but the only option I have running is
Automatic update after user login.
I have no other tasks running and it still scans.
