Hey!..
I'm curious to know if this thing is worth the price ??? $129.95 for 12 months or $199.95 for 24 months, reduced from $259.90

The pricing seems a bit sharp for something that doesnt get mentioned that often  And whats more has anyone used or trialed this Pro version ???

What that looks much. What is that in US dollars or Euro's?

Definitely a bit steep for AUD.
A pity. I remember Trend Micro fondly; back in the 90s they were the ones who made features like automatic updating and online sample submission through the program UI into the mainstream, if I remember correctly. The product was fun to use, and I recall eagerly awaiting the next version to see which feature they would pioneer next.
I haven't tested it for a while now, but if AV-C is accurate then its detection rate is slightly behind the competition these days. I'm definitely waiting for Trend's comeback, though.

you guys must be lucky.. ive never seen it run smooth or light on any of my systems or any one elses i have seen. maybe im to picky about how light a program should be i dont know but no way id use it.. i worked on my neighbors systems a few days ago and he just purchased trend.. he said as soon as he installed it he barely could use the internet.. i went over there and first we tried a fresh install on one system after not being able to figure out the issues.. we formated that system and started from scratch installing vista then trend next with the same results. i uninstalled trend and he had a kis lic from another system he was no longer using we installed that and his internet is blazing fast compared to trend. your results may vary but this was always my end result with trend ...
i would rather use nortons or mcafee first than trend imo

Unfortunately my experience with TMISP was disappointing. I did run TMIS from '04-'06 and this one felt heavier than past versions. Also I turn it off to play games but for some reason right in the middle of the game the desktop comes up and I see the TM icon in the tray again (very irritating when you are in an intense firefight in COD4 >:( ) where it turned itself back on by itself. This didn't happen in past versions with me. I could keep it from happening by killing some processes but why should I have to do that?
NIS is definitely lighter than TMISP and when I turn Auto Protect off it stays off until I turn it back on again.

It runs smoothly. However after Vista has loaded to the main screen, it starts to load (the state from silver to red icon) very very slowly. This problem also happened after I start my pc from Hibernate. Anyone has the same problem?

Slower on my computer than Avira, NOD32, and even NIS 2008. I would not recommend.

It runs fine, I don't see the problem of slowdowns here.

Yes, but does it really matter if its protecting your PC ;)

My machine takes about 150 seconds to boot after installing Trend. With NIS2008 it now takes 43.
Trend is really bloated.

Trend is slower booting than watching paint dry. NOD32 is by far the fastest booting AV I have tested-followed by Avira.

After trying it for aproximately 42.75 seconds I blew its brains out  Its too troublesome, preventing some programs not to start at all....Good-bye

Out of curiosity, which tests show Trend as being better for cleaning and detection? I didn't think it ranked very high, and I'd be curious to see results otherwise.
I also tried Trend, but had a definite performance impact on my machine (non-scientific test - Stuff just took longer to run)
