Hi

I have a home network where all computers are wired to a switch.
One of the wired computers has 2 nics (bridged in WinXp) one to the wired network, one wireless to the wifi ADSL Router. The WinXp bridge allows all wired computers to access the internet.

Using Tinysoftwares Firewall (TPF2005 Activity Monitor) I notice:
- that on the normal workstations all outgoing HTTP (port 80) is scanned by Eset Service ekrn.exe
- that on the workstation with the XP-bridge that all outgoing HTTP (port 80) running over the bridge (routed connections) is not scanned by Eset Service ekrn.exe. Using Firefox or IE on the same computer I notice that the outgoing - but locally generated - HTTP is scanned by ekrn.exe

Question:
is there a way for Nod32 (eken.exe) to scan the outgoing HTTP running over the WinXp network bridge.

Looking forward to hear from you.

Kind regards

Itsme.

Hi, i have similar situation. w2ksp4, 2 x nic with configured netshell nat service. traffic is not routed through nod proxy. also traffic to virtual system (ms virtual pc) is not routed through nod proxy.

I don't see this as problem, it's by design. I don't know exactly how it works, but nod proxy is in higher layer. imon from nod27 is on socket layer but i think can't scan this too.
