ESS worked fine until re-booted after which time i was unable to get my browser online. Some Apps updated as they should, but browser would not connect. The log showed Incorrect IP Packet Checksum. I did a search here and found nothing of use. I am on a stand alone box. What would cause this problem and is there a way to have ESS recalculate the checksum should i want to do so ? :(

Incorrect IP Packet Checksum is a known bug, been reported since beta's but not fixed. eset say they are "fixing more critical bugs before this is fixed"

OK, thank you kC.......do you know if it will rear it's ugly head every time i attempt to use the program or only randomly ? I presume there is no workaround ?

nope ive seen it constantly in logs every 2minutes 7 seconds since beta1,

also in control panel/event viewer, which is caused by ESS, but i dont know if its related to the "incorrect packet checksum error"

if your browsers not working try to delete the rule for it, and then launch the browser again
