I've just got myself a Nokia N95 and have read several threads saying that some mobiles don't need an AV. Is this true of the N95? It's my new toy and I want to protect it the best way I can, so any advice would be really useful.

Is it worth buying a decent security suite for my phone? Or is there a decent freeware suite I can use?

Sorry to sound such a weapon, but I've really no experience with mobile security as I've never had one that I've wanted to use for browsing the web, but this one is a different beast and it seems a shame not to use the features on the phone.

Many thanks

-{ Quote: "It is definately worth it." }-But don't buy BitDefender. I bought BitDefender to my Nokia N70 cellular phone, but after that my phone was in repair they removed all programs installed in it. After that I tried to install my BitDefender again, but the serial key wasn't a valid one anymore some 2 months later I bought it. >:(

I've sent feedback to BitDefender support, but no reply after 3 months. ???

Best regards,

Thanks for the advice - I like the look of the Kaspersky. I have one question - do mobiles need 'firewalls', as it were? Or is an AV sufficient?

For now AV is enough.
But all mayor companies are testing or going to test mobile firewalls very soon
