sfc /scannow error on v2.7

hi, vista 32 bit, nat firewall and defender, sfc /scannow has always got to 99% and reported a corrupt file has been found and was unable to fix. i (very) briefly tried v3. i ran sfc /scannow in the interim and in reported no faults? is this normal or is it installed wrong? it all seems to work ok.

I have done many "sfc" checks on clients (but all were with XP and v2) and all have worked

It is not a known issue as far as I am aware but you should also remember that v2 will not be developed further so any possible (let's say it) bug in the old version (v2) will not be fixed
