Hi!

I am on a KIS 6 month trial. If I buy a licence now will I loose the rest of my trial period?

Thanks,
Phasechange

The best way to know is to explicitly ask the reseller you would be dealing with.

The general answer is "it depends". For example, in my own case with a multiuser key, the reseller created the key and all licenses started ticking within 3 months even if not installed (I asked), but I could queue the new key in the licence manager (KAV WKS - not sure if home versions have this facility) and the new key would start as the old one ended. Not sure if this occurs with trial keys.

On a retail boxed product, the time will not start ticking until you process the activation code.

Not sure of details on an electronic download with an activation code - whether it is like my case (I believe it is) or the boxed case (no limit).

Thanks. I asked Kaspersky UK and the answer is 3 months.

With the combination of 30% off and PCW offer I am happy to loose 3 months from my trial version for a 2 year licence at such a good price for a fantastic AV product.

Thanks for the help,

Why not using the trial now and buy the product. When the trial expires use you bought license and activate? No time is lost here
