How is Tiny personal firewall when it comes to system resources?

Is tiny personal firewall 5 lite on resources? Will it bog down the system and eat the memory?
How is it when compared to Kerio or Sygate pro?

i am using TPF 5.5(build 1288). this is more than just a firewall. i have everything installed that it comes with. it is possible to only install the firewall though if you wish. here is the resource usage from the 4 processes that TPF uses. i don't know what it uses with just the firewall installed.

What is your view on the default install of no intrusion protection?
on my "Trial" of 5.5 none are added. Only the intrusion monitoring is.
and i have to right click on a group or single rule to add it to the intrusion protection.

i by no means know how to use this thing properly. i am taking it very slowly and learning about it all the time.

after posting in this thread last night, i saw your thread. i had no idea the default installation was like that with 5.5. so after seeing your post and that you moved groups on your own, i went and did the same thing. i learn something new everyday lol, so thanks for that.

i don't know why they would make the default install like that. they must have a reason for it, but right now it doesn't make sense to me.

They don't have the IP rules active at install because they operate in real time and if all are active, it can slow down your pc. This is what I remember in one of the threads at the tpf site. In following this logic, I just add whichever ones I deem necessary to block that show up in Amon.
