The linked article below says that multi engine AV's typically used to scan mail may increase vulnerabilities due to increasing the number of bugs in the parsing routines of the various engines. In effect, all AV's are buggy and adding engines just multiplies the bugs.
Is this a consideration in multi engine AV's on workstation PC's?
