Hi,

Kaspersky says that ZAP7 and KAV7 are NOT compatible. ZAP 7 has to be DELETED if KAV 7 is installed.

See this:

http://support.kaspersky.com/faq/?qid=208279367

"If you are installing the File Anti-Virus component, then Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0 \Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0 detects and asks to delete the following products manually: ZoneAlarm Pro 7.0"

Users over at the Kaspersky support forum fully agree. They say that ZAP may even prevent INSTALLATION of KAV7 - it's that bad!

See these:

http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showtopic=45981&hl=zonealarm+pro

http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showtopic=45805&hl=zonealarm+pro

Can anyone share their EXPERIENCE with these 2 products on the same computer system?

Thank you for a great support forum.

G.

Well i've got ZAP 7 and KAV 7 both installed at the moment on xp home and my system is running ok. Bootup time has really has really increased since installing both and my system seems to momentarily freeze from time to time. I installed ZAP first followed by KAV and i didn't get any warnings. So they definitely work together however not all that smooth on my system.

I've been running ZAP and KAV together for several years without problems. Currently I run KAV 7 and ZAP 7, so I don't know why there is supposed to be a problem.
