I'm seeing the same error that was reported in the previous thread http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=184800

The message is
Virus signature database could not be updated
General compier error

Current signature database installed is 2662

On reboot everything looks fine but when Nod32 tries to update the database the above message returns.

Hello!

Make sure that your temp folder exists , run a tool (a.k.a. everything desribed here: http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showpost.php?p=863309)

Then reinstall your ESET Antivirus:

1. Download fresh new Eset v3 product from http://www.eset.com/download .
Make sure that you choose the correct version.
2. Uninstall your current version from Control Panel -> Add/Remove programs
3. Reboot the computer when prompted
4. Delete manually these folders:

- C:\Documents and Settings\All users\Application data\Eset
- C:\Documents and Settings\your user\Local Settings\Application data\Eset

5. Reinstall your ESET smart protection with the file you just downloaded . Use typical install.
